The "Faculty Disclosure Policy" of Albert Einstein College of Medicine requires that faculty participating in a CME activity disclose to the audience any relationship with a pharmaceutical or equipment company which might pose a potential, apparent or real conflict of interest with regard to their contribution to the activity.

Overall Purpose and Goals

The GAMATM CME activity is targeted primarily for physicians and other health care providers who wish to learn more in geriatrics.


Educational Objectives

Upon completion of these activities, the participant should be able to:

  1. increase knowledge and develop a broad understanding in geriatrics.
  2. acquire knowledge of current issues affecting diagnosis, treatment, and clinical outcomes.
  3. improve practice management techniques.
  4. develop a broader understanding of the subject presented.

Accreditation Statement

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through joint sponsorship of Albert Einstein College of Medicine and interMDnet Corporation, together with Novartis Foundation for Gerontology. Albert Einstein College of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians and takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of this activity.

Credit Designation

Albert Einstein College of Medicine designates the GAMATM "Longevity" continuing medical education activity for a maximum of 4 hours in category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Albert Einstein College of Medicine designates the GAMATM "Longevity FP" continuing medical education activity for a maximum of 2 hours in category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

This CME activity was planned and produced in accordance with the ACCME Essentials.


Method of Instruction and Evaluation

Each activity may include conferences, graphics, sound, video, and other elements incorporated in multimedia and interactive computer based training. A self assessment test and evaluation form is provided at the end of each GAMATM presentation. You must complete the evaluation form for each GAMATM presentation for which you wish to receive credit. You may choose any presentation at your discretion and in any order, but credit will only be given for presentations viewed in their entirety and after the evaluation form and payment have been received.

Fees

The fee for GAMATM's "Longevity" 4 hours of AMA/PRA Category 1 credit is $40.00. The fee for GAMATM's "Longevity FP" 2 hours of AMA/PRA Category 1 credit is $20.00. Fees are collected electronically in U.S. dollars and payment is made to Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Payment is accepted by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express) only. All personal information transmitted is encrypted for your protection through the Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers. If you do not have either browser, you can download either the latest Netscape or Microsoft Internet Explorer browser.
